Tell us a little bit about you – why you set up the site, how you got into fitness? What has your journey been?
I developed a passion for health and wellness after I successfully lost a considerable amount weight. My freshman 15 turned into freshman 30! It wasn’t until I trained my mind and body that I truly saw results that lasted and naturally became my lifestyle. I started writing for a well known publication covering health and fitness in the New York area. I found myself fully immersed in the lifestyle and anxious to either workout or share my love with like minded individuals. Shortly after that I decided to launch my company Nadia Murdock Fit in order to share what worked for me and help others on a larger scale.
What’s the most inspirational advice you’ve been given?
Closed mouths don’t get fed! Ever since the day I got this bit of advice, I have not held back to ask for what I want! This has helped to empower me in all aspects of my life.
What’s been the high point of your career so far?
Wow, that is a tough one because I have been so grateful thus far! I would have to say my appearance on E! News and when clients/social media following tell me I inspire them daily. It has been rewarding to be able to reach people nationally and know that I am making a difference in their lives.
How often do you work out / what’s your personal favourite way to stay in shape?
I workout 6-7 days a week. I think it’s extremely important to mix up your routine regularly not only to avoid boredom but to make sure you don’t hit a plateau. My workouts consist of Zumba, weight lifting, spin and barre.
What’s your top beauty tip?
Facial masks a few times a week, drink water regularly, face oil and under-eye cream are all a must! I also make sure to wear sunscreen and get enough rest.
Where are your favourite hangouts? (Can be a city, local café etc)
I love vacationing in Cancun, Mexico. Starbucks is where I go to get my work done and catch up on emails. The gym is my playground and I always appreciate a healthy place to dine like Sweet Green or Liquiteria in NYC.
What 5 things could you not live without?
